You really made this painting feel like it has its own character. Love it!
Feels like art is being taken for granted despite it being literally everywhere. Even typing this right now requires some level of artistry to make it seamless. Yet, we don’t get paid enough or enough respect in general. It really is a labor of love.
This looks cute! Do you ever zone out when doing the line art? It just looks like a lot.
Most of the Devil King’s body is obscured except for a third of his face, his three eyes, and horns. His skin is purple and eyes are slightly yellow. Lore wise, he’s not someone who is easily fooled. His top eye is able to show him the future of those who aren’t his class type (pulgi and monogamas). After taking over Gomelia, the kingdom of dragons, he set his sights on the rest of the world while keeping an eye on Talos. She best not disappoint him.
Wolfy with most of his body obscured except for his mouth and a bit of his suit. His skin is red and he has a smile on his face. He has a small beard, a blue scar across his face, two silver earrings a one horn on the center of his forehead. His suit consists of a black overcoat with a dark purple interior, a tan suit, a purple tie, and a white undershirt. Lore wise, Wolfy likes to fool around whenever he can but knows when to get serious with the Devil King. He used to be his manservant after all. With his current position, he’s able to unite the lands under the Devil King’s name, just as Irwin, Spirit of Balance and Time, has intended. Buuut a little fun on these missions never hurt anybody—at least no one important that is.
I know I should wait but I never get to post these monsters together ;(. I’m not even sure if I’ve shown them both here before besides my character line-up from last year. Here’s the Devil King and Wolfy :)

Talos behind bars. She’s on all fours in a defensive stance. Her mouth, hands, and feet are all bloody implying that she attacked her assailants. Her skeleton is partially glowing on said places and her pupils have shrunken. Her mouth is open with steam coming out of it like an angry lizard ready to strike. Her cell has a pool of blood under her mouth, scratches scattered along the wall and floor and bent bars from her initial attack. Lore wise, this is during the time she gets kidnapped by the mercenary group called the Ironclad Sirens. They underestimated her strength as she was unconscious when they got her and, with Talos being a hybrid, they didn’t know what she was exactly. Was she a dragon? A shapeshifter who loves dragons? A defect or something? Her wardens found out the hard way.

Uma, Goddesses of War and Wisdom, in her unicorn form. She has a red, flesh-like, horse skull for a face with four multicolored eyes (two are placed vertically at the center of her face while the others are where the eyes should be). Her teeth and horn are golden with the structure of her teeth having two additional giant canines. Her dark blue mane covers her neck. At the base of her nose, she has a giant white gem which is her actual form.
Uma with her mouth open next to the study of a horse skull. Inside her mouth is an additional set of teeth—the only set that’s golden are the ones that visible without opening her mouth. The rest are a stained off-white color. Her tongue is black and absorbing the ashes of the fallen. Once she consumes enough her whole face turns black and, despite not needing to eat, will feel a sense of fullness. With that feeling, she can turn the ash into black gold, a magical material that is practically indestructible (unless it’s hit with itself using a certain amount of force) and fairly versatile when in the right hands.

I initially made these for the year of the horse for practice. I had a bigger piece in mind but I realized that I haven’t draw Uma a lot to pull it off. Maybe I’ll work on it later this year lol. Anyways, she demands your presence :)

I’m happy to talk to you again too! For drawing a character’s temperament, I think the best way to draw it out is to find a couple of reference photos that matches with your character’s personality. I think practicing gesture poses and facial expressions could help. I use Line of Action for practice
I don’t know if I’ve ever said this before but I love how you shade your work (and your use of perspectives too.) It’s very captivating!
Butterfly Man (she/her) in her General uniform and holding a bloody sword (the blood is blue). Her uniform is red plaid coat that goes down to her calves, golden arm braces and shoulder pads, leather gloves with gold on her knuckles, extra leather protection to her waist, and leather 'shoes' that open up to her claw-like feet. Her body is mutated with a scarlet butterfly. Her pose is strong as she stands up straight, looking for her next target.
Burning Man was made just for fun. He has a mask with goggles that cover most of his face and is able to breathe fire through his mask. He’s wearing has burn marks around is body and is wearing a torn blue scarf, brown pants with blue accents, and a light brown leather belt, gloves, and shoes (all with blue accents). His pose is sporadic with his legs bending in opposite directions and his mouth wide open to breath fire.
