My usual server at Waffle House stopped asking my order about a year ago, because I always get the same thing. Today, the cook informed the staff she doesn't need to hear it anymore, either. My plan to have my name engraved on the second counter stool from the left is ahead of schedule.
Haha, yeah, the sticker place messed up and sent the wrong size, but told me to keep them. So, I've been using those as the free ones.

Or you can cut a spacer from wood like I did for the first version. Just be sure to check for cumulative error as you go.
The template is just a convenience if you happen to have a CNC router or laser cutter. Honestly, it would probably take you longer to make the template by hand than it would be just to mark the positions of the runners with a tape measure, based on the spacing given for your chosen cases.
The Stanleys are better quality and have stiffer lids. Tiny stuff can still mix sometimes, but it's not as bad. I put my labels inside the rear wall of each bin, which has worked well.
