It was all there from the jump in the 2011 short. Just got more comical (thus commercial) with each film. 3 also veered into overt biblical themes which… meh. Not fan, but I was low key inspired by Leone’s interview with Mick Garris Oct 23. He rolled indie for a decade and it paid off.

💯 Most people who decline the edgier roles I post say they’re busy, or don’t connect with the content (I’m very up front about what’s involved) but this was too funny. Also, a twisted source of pride 😁

Hmm, curious what the message from Spotify said regarding the take-down. I know from experience they have bots flagging “potentially infringing” material having to do with music, but I suspect content take-downs would be based on complaints or listener flags rather than automated processes.

They took down a new ep of mine last week. After sending them proof I have music licenses they replied that the episode will be reinstated. Super annoying. I have no confidence it won’t happen again. I know the labels are pressuring Spotify claiming there is massive infringement in podcasts. 🤷‍♂️

Literally just re-watched it the other night and I loved it. Could it use a few snips here and there? Maybe. But it is a fully realized atmospheric dread fest that oddly makes Longlegs feel like earlier work.
