When hitting an enemy, hold the button to yank them towards you!
Its EX Skill, Energy Chain, allows you to heal by hitting an enemy without yanking.

Most likely a _very_ common gamedev dilemma, but it sucks to find ourselves in this.
I don't know, could we make it enough quirky and enough in our own style?
I really don't want to compete with anyone, but people are likely to make comparisons, we might get accused of copying stuff, or the game will fly completely under the radar.
And now I'm wondering, do we go with the idea nevertheless like "fuck it we ball", or do we scrap the entire thing.
It's... pretty deflating to have cooked with a game concept for a year, to start finally making it real, and at that same point seeing 3 different games from much more known devs with the exact same core concept, gameplay, artstyle within a week. All much more ahead with them.
What to do.

I would probably shuffle these depending on the day, but this'll give some idea. (TF2 unfortunately doesn't apply anymore, but dang was it fun at a point.)

We had ideas for a bar where monsters would get pissed off at MeowMeow if she did karaoke and a longer sewer segment, but those didn't make it. But _the building_ stayed even though it's a bit of a performance killer lmao.
Overall it's a big homage to and parody of early FPS city levels.
I think that one was actually both of us... I think I played some Duke3d on a break, and we started getting _ideas_. Duke3d's E1M2 and Doom 2's notorious Downtown level were definitely the first inspirations.
We also threw in that infamous giant guiding arrow from the latter, but made it from poop.
Oh we had fun designing Starport - First level we did together. One of those levels where we went "Okay so how many dumb references do we fit into this thing and how on-the-nose do we wanna be?".
Susa takes the credit for the Matrix lobby, the metal detector & everything. It's real good. 💖

(atm doing _interesting tests_ in Godot. Played with the FuncGodot plugin and loaded in a level from MeowGun for giggles. Even managed to make it play XM tracks with godot-openmpt! High art, I know.)
