oh no! i ended up with some nerve damage in my leg after mine but when i finally got referred to a neurologist they put me on gabapentin for a while and it healed completely. i hope you get properly treated for that!

they did, but that doesn’t completely remove the need for the bathroom, and opioid pain meds cause constipation too. the stitch holding the packing in was apparently the source of my pain the moment they cut that everything was so much better

the worst pain in my life was on day 2 or 3 when i tried to use the bathroom, i screamed in pain and will never forget how two hospital orderlies burst into the room and picked me up and carried me back to the bed where a nurse gave me a shot of dilaudid (i think?) before i could stop screaming

that’s wonderful! i had mine done at a Kaiser Permanente hospital here in CA and while
the hospital itself was fine, the complete lack of community really sucked and the surgeon was so impersonal and i had so much pain before the packing was removed i was so miserable for those first few days
