Ah, Bluesky seems to be having troubles. Now I get to take a break. Whew!

I appreciate your observations on those titles!
I appreciate your reply. Just curious, did you see the recent MCU show Wonder Man? If you didn't, I recommend it.
Felix, Ragman's Harbour is so good.
On brand!
Well deserved!
A+, although I wasn’t saying I was too old and tired to join a club, just too old and tired for *gestures around*
There’s even a Sea Lion in this thread *just asking questions* and I’m just not going to engage
No lies detected! Maybe it isn’t as weird as I thought, Kayin
This feels like an accurate assessment
It’s all good, fellow Patrick. Elsewhere in the replies, someone mentioned The Eternals, which had some flaws but people didn’t seem to be able to just accept it as a movie happening on its own, and not tightly part of the Avengers through-line
I'll make an exception for you, nephew
I don't think that's the problem I'm having. I feel like we're talking about two different things
Although they're mandatory for you because you need to be informed for your excellent action figure reviews
Yeah, and although people are misreading my post, I don't want to stifle criticism, I just am weary of hate-engagement
I hope our hopes pay off, thank you for your feedback!
- amount of effort involved.
Feel free to criticize, and should I see it, I will likely not feel weird about it, since you came to this thread with a reasonable point to discuss.
I dont think you and I are in disagreement on this. I even say in my original post that it is fine for people to not be excited by (or by extension, critical of) the MCU.
I did say that some of the extreme (clarifying my statement of 'long and deep') negative framings seems weird to me, from the -
LOL. I am that Eternals defender, though!
(Please don't slap me)
And I’m guilty of that too for some things. But I’m so old and tired now.
Respect! I appreciate this feedback, Rey
Tangential: I see that you are a filmmaker, and that is awesome. I appreciate you coming to this post and engaging civilly. (My thanks for the civility is not necessarily related to your profession, I just wanted to acknowledge it, my wife is an actor and filmmaking seems crazy hard to me)
- point, I just love how they were introduced to the MCU in a novel way. They have such a higher opinion of Avengers: Ultron then do most of the viewing audience, I think.
I acknowledge your difference. I do have a counter example to your suggestion that audiences have to watch them all. A friend of mine watched WandaVision first, and then watched Avengers: Ultron because it was referenced by WandaVision. They had a cool experience.
This isn't me trying to score a -
So, you are denying my right to post my thoughts? (I don't believe you are, and I wasn't denying your right either, but it was wild that you suggested I was.)
David, I can appreciate your point, because it's not really a criticism of the MCU or the quality of the films, but of blockbusters in general crowding out smaller films. That sounds like a reasonable complaint that could be leveled at DUNE as well.
Okay. Reread the first sentence in my post again. Read it more than one time if necessary.
Recognized!
So fancy!
