Overall I'm happier and the slightly less pay is worth the less BS I have to put up with.

Long story short, I was good at it, but the pay wasn't worth the stress. But now this new hire is getting easy street treatment and is still fumbling. I can only imagine how it'll go when they have to take over the full role that I'm still partially filling in for while they train

Brings me immense joy, but also frustration, that I took a slightly less paying position due to stress and watching the new hire get the training I -didn't- receive (the reason I told em to shove it) and watching them still struggle after two months while my boss is visibly frustrated w/ them.

I work for a newspaper. I help older customers access their digital "paper" as part of my job description. I did not expect my coworkers to lack the most basic computer knowledge despite using them DAILY. "Whats a Google calendar? What are cookies? Is browser a search engine?"
