Of pitchforks?

25/26 draws to a close & one of my favourite things about visiting random #NonLeague clubs is meeting so many fantastic people along the way. I love hearing about the clubs & tales of seasons long gone. The volunteers who keep so many of these clubs alive are truly amazing. More to come next season!
Some more pics from my day out in Henley.
Lovely day for a wander along the riverside at Henley. π
Just been looking at the list of Berkshire teams on the
@footballinberkshire.co.uk
home page and I've visited 29 of them (including historic grounds). Henley Town today would have been 30 if they weren't classed as South Oxon now. π
Work to do on the rest which could be a project for next season!
Just the word Coldplay means I'll never watch that shitshow in a million years.
BlueSky has been sketchy all day and throwing out strange messages like that. Guess they're still working through their issues. π€·
Off to Henley this Saturday for a first visit and to tick off another of the Berkshire grounds I've not yet been to. Looks like it'll be a nice day so a chance for a nice wander around the town beforehand, this time without having to climb the mountain passes of last week! π

Without saying your age, post your favourite film that was released the year you turned 18...
Poor result for Ipswich last night and while promotion is still in our own hands, the momentum is now with Southampton for the second auto spot. Fair play to Pompey, they were on it from the start. Still, this being the championship no doubt there will be plenty of twists & turns still to come!

Here are a few pics from my day out in Bath yesterday. π
Great to meet you too. Thanks for all help & please thank everyone for your hospitality today. Somehow I made it back to the early train so all is good. I'll be back at some point but won't be walking it next time! π
When you said steep I didn't think it'd be that bad!
Thanks for that. On the second train now so should be in Bath soon. π
Even Kent who have been dire for the last two years had over 1,000 through the gate at Canterbury yesterday. π
You are the puppetmaster...
Met up with a long time friend of mine at lunchtime and sadly it transpires he's recently been diagnosed with early onset dementia. So sad to think all his colourful memories will slowly drift away. I'm due to do a 25km walk in August and will now use that to raise funds for that charity.
Great thanks. Looking forward to visiting tomorrow! π
Hi, thanks. I'll be wandering around Bath for a couple of hours and will then make my way to the ground. I've downloaded the bus app (more for after the game) and it looks like the 6 or 7 gets me closest to and from the ground?
Enjoyed a 5 mile walk today including on some Crown Estate land in Swinley forest. It's more like a copse in places as they've done some wholesale forestry taking down large numbers of trees. Still, nice to see a whole load of different birds and a bit of springtime colour. π
βοΈ I'm looking to expand my collaborations and write about football and politics for English-language publications as well. If you have any suggestions or would like to share this post, I'd owe you a favor!

A decent game on a pleasant sunny day!

That's it for me this week, just the little matter of writing up today's games which should both be online sometime tomorrow.
Next week is my last long trek this season with a visit to
@larkhallafc.bsky.social which will become the 200th ground I've visited.
Looking forward to that. π
Scores from my two games today were...
Windsor & Eton 1
Wokingham Town 1
@berkscountyfcw.bsky.social 6 Woodley United 2
Sunshine, ten goals and the chance to catch with some good people along the way.
I'll do that again next season π

Just arrived for the 11.30am kick off at Stag Meadow for the Windsor & Eton v Wokingham Town match. It's certainly a beautiful day!
