$7.60 right now in the UK for a US gallon.
It will be worse in UK as always because of Marginal Pricing. Here wholesale electricity price is set by the most expensive element of generation, gas. Even though nearly 50% of UK power already comes from renewable with gas being around 26% of total UK power use, It’s a scam we all pay for!

I agree, it’s worth contemplating. Consciousness is that which is aware of thinking. This contradicts the prevalent matter model where consciousness arises from the brain (matter). I’m with Max Planck who stated "I regard matter as derivative from consciousness,"
Ok…You know by your own experience that you think thousands of thoughts each day, feel countless feelings each day all of which are transient (ever changing). The ever present that never changes is your awareness of it. That is, your consciousness/awareness ‘prior’ to the content of any experience.
AI is a black box in that it emulates human thought faster and with dynamic complexity. That said, consciousness in humans is that which is aware of all experience prior to the content of experience. AI never will possess that capacity even though human deployment of it may yet annihilate us.
Thinking, feeling, sensing, perceiving are not consciousness itself. It’s the same as mistaking the movie playing on the screen as the screen. This is the old ‘hard problem of consciousness’ in which the hidden assumption is that consciousness arises from matter, for which there is no evidence.

I recommend this article. Everyone should know just how much we’re being fleeced, how ill- prepared we are to deal with drought, and how much we’re prioritised compared to big business ( not at all) - and then read the last paragraph x2.
We are being fleeced!
