I also didn't interfere with her choice! When she got there to sign up for classes, she realized that most of her high school electives were for history, and she's been planning to volunteer at the local history museum for the summer. Also, she longingly dreams of cataloging dusty old things 😂

Took oldest to new student orientation at the @umnmorris.bsky.social campus yesterday!

She signed up for classes and, after finally tuning out all outside pressure and expectations, she declared a history major!

Lord knows we need more people who know where we've been to inform where we're going.
