They’re all so very grubby, these Reform Ltd. grifters. 🤢

And teachers are being actively encouraged and even mandated in some schools to use LLMs to generate teaching materials, by managers who appear to have forgotten what education is.

No it isn’t; it’s included in the license fee.

It’s essentially all the same as Karen Hao’s book Empire of AI, which is worth a read. The New Yorker piece adds nothing new.

Who’s paying you to write this bilge? No one is obliged to use unethical crappy tech. Give your head a wobble.

Why would I waste my precious human time on synthetic art made from stolen human art? It has no value whatsoever, is deeply unethical and can only ever be generic.

Those Tory donors gotta make the cash somehow.

The UK is in Europe. Or do you mean the EU? And no. We don’t need Moscow.

He’s saying ‘we don’t have enough information to plan a strategy and we shouldn’t do what we did in the past’, but because he’s an economist who just guesses, he has to make the bleeding obvious sound complicated - it’s pure ego and very irritating.

Nah, they knew exactly what they were doing, knew the harms and did it anyway. But hopefully global wave of class action lawsuits will be incoming.

Arrogance. He’s convinced himself he’s better than everyone else. Just like Führage.

Private equity firms ruin everything they touch, they really are the flesh-eating virus of capitalism. Ugh.

I think the word you are looking for is ‘degeneracy’, not absurdity. Why does The Atlantic perpetually downplay this wretched criminal’s venality?

Not at all. The really good ones made me tingle and I just wanted to read more. Nothing but admiration. The ones trying to be ‘literary’ rather than expressive were the most boring and you could tell who read a lot and who didn’t - being a reader is so central to being a writer.

Just the opening 1k words. And it was 115. You get into the rhythm of it. Took me two days. Wanted to read them close together so my mindset was the same throughout. Actually learned a lot about writing through the process - mostly what to avoid! Will be editing my current manuscript accordingly!

Hard agree. Same for novels. And I say that having just read over 100 novel entries for a comp. Maddening.

Louisa Munch is 🔥🔥🔥 though so I doubt either will have a nice time. 👍

Nah, different people learn differently- as someone with PTSD I now find auditory processing retains more information than visual processing. The vibe coding analogy is more appropriate to the audiobook producers using shitty AI to voice human literature.

That is not the only choice. And yet advocates for the fossil fuel industry always seem to frame it as such. Shameful.

The USA’s flimsy justifications for this illegal war is repugnant. The entire regime should be charged with war crimes.

Such a weak little man is Matt Badloss; goes from ingratiating to retreat at the first (very polite) rebuttal of his vile far-right party. Total coward.

It’s all particularly galling after Reform Ltd’s illegal campaigning tactics and over spending. Every accusation is an admission. Grubby little fascist.

Looking forward to him referring himself and his shitty limited company for all their illegal canvassing and spending activities - vile little hypocrite.

Never mind Clegg, what about Osborne? He should be in jail for his wholesale wrecking of the economy and fire sale of nationally-owned assets.

Totally agree. All the accommodation of the AI scam needs to be replaced by wholesale derision.
