Yes. Happy rush hour. Platforms are packed.

Our streets should not be killing people at any hour, any location.

It is a policy failure, and yes, there are solutions. The core problem, like Stroads in general, is putting high speeds anywhere that pedestrians are physically able to cross.

So...People being unfamiliar with the area warrants them being hit with a car, according to SPD.

Progress continuing to be made on MetroMark: a personal checklist for every transit station you visit!
Nothing fancy quite yet, but it's a lot of work even to get this baseline functionality working... whew.

Seattle, for all its drama and process and flaws, is very proud of itself. No matter who you are, it's "don't tell people about Seattle, it's our secret!" or "Hey come move to Seattle, we're the best".

After growing up in NY (pre-mamdani... lol), the calm here is so nice.

Just because it leads directly into the stair without a texture change I can only hope/assume it's walking path. Also scale's off for it to be drivable, I think.

I did not! I'm still working on it, just limited time. I promise it'll come back, and I've got more ideas for future episodes after the airport 🤣

Sorry if this is a dumb question! Where can I find your discord? Movie nights might be real nice to fight the post-event lonelies

Looking forward to it!
Let me know if you or anyone needs recommendations for things to do/eat in the area once you're wrapped up ☺️

Meanwhile in Seattle, we did this once and never again.

Mayor Wilson Says She'll Accelerate Comprehensive Plan and "Go Bigger" on Density - PubliCola By Erica C. Barnett Mayor Katie Wilson wants to accelerate the remaining phases of Seattle’s comprehensive plan update by one…

This one also said wulhat instead of what. Genuine question, is it bad or rude/unappreciated to point out typos? Is there a good place to do it? Trying to be helpful but maybe it's not. Thanks for what you do!!

agreed but wrt social media: usually foreign governments of nonenglish countries are worse at appealing to Americans than the American government's trained team

This isn't accurate even the slightest bit. There is genuinely not a single frame of this video that is accurate, whether because of the buildings being wrong, the culture being wrong, the date being wrong, information missing, or all of the above.

You cannot learn anything from this video.

They do look at the doors through the cameras so I'll sometimes wave there! Or if I walk by the front I will, or as the train pulls into the station before I board. They seem to appreciate it 😄

I noticed the same thing. Strollers left behind too, which was unfortunate.

We were leaving bikes and strollers behind at each station. People wanted to take the next train... which was just as crowded.

Lots of first time ever rail riders, lots of people starting new routines of crossing the lake, lots of people just enjoying the beautiful ride.

Lots of people talking about getting more cars on the 2 line. Hoping ST rebalances the 1 and 2 soon... and looking forward to the extra cars next year!

I experienced the same, both directions. It's busy, and not because of events... because people want to ride the train!

I talked to a Carnation, WA 60-yo couple who parked at Redmond and took the light rail (their first time ever!) to the market for lunch. They plan to ride more going forward!

Days 1 and 2 were failures, I ended up walking.
Day 3: success! The impact of no RTA data on ridership is notable and dramatic. This bus is empty, usually it's at least half full at this time.
