It’s gonna be rough. We’ll do our best to keep coffee selections available, but there comes a point where the costs will prevent us from keeping things in stock.
We haven’t even adjusted for the last surge in coffee prices, but opted to take the hit and keep our prices the same 🫠

Anyone that exports meshes & armatures from #Blender3D to #UnrealEngine, what are your export and import settings?

Struggled w/ child bones importing w/ unwanted rotations last night (root bone was fine though). Armature & mesh transformations looked good in blender 🤷🏻♂️

Quick asteroid placeholders made in blender and thrown into #UE5. They look pretty good with some random rotation and sizes but they'll look even better with more mesh variations.

We're still using cube maps, but with them applied through an ExponentialHeightFog volume we're able to reduce them to just a 2K texture with almost no noticeable loss in quality.
Overall, I'm really happy w/ this look and cant wait to start adding in asteroid fields and celestial bodies!
Making small steps towards building out the background. We scrapped the original skysphere implementation for nebulas. They were far too big and an unnecessary waste because the camera only looks down the -Z axis. #gamedev #unrealengine #UE5 #space

This was my first time working in Blender’s shader editor, but it’s node-based like Unreal Engine’s material editor so it wasn’t too different. (First time rendering too)
Still, I spent most of the day stumbling through it lol. But I have a nice little tool to generate all the nebulas I want now!

Got the new modular ship modeled, UV’s mapped, and imported into #UE5. Started on a legitimate master material for instancing. I’d like to be able to quickly adjust paint patterns, distressing, and colors. Maybe in-game for the player too?
