"I'm a big boy now. I can do it!" - Rhys Darby in the latest teaser for Bear Grylls is Running Wild

I wasn't able to make it to any of the cons the cast appeared at, but in November I'll be going to my 3rd convention with Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss cast and that shit has been magical.
Meeting pirates before Rhys' show in Chicago last week was also the best experience.
I recently watched Dog Man, which was so delightfully silly and heartfelt. I loved it.
This gag had me cackling like a loon
I'm dead serious when I say this is why I go to comic con type events. Meeting celebrities is fun, but hanging out with people who are as nerdy as I am is the best. It's one of the few places where I feel like I actually fit in.
I need to watch more of Suzy Izzard's stuff. The bits I've seen are great. I like Birbiglia a lot though!
ED'S LITTLE DANCE I CAN'T
I can't believe this is real. God bless The Onion.
I would counterpoint that Comment Etiquette's parody was the best, but they could easily just hire Eric to write for a Truth Point revival.
I love how whenever rhys does a show or five, everyone shows back up begging for ofmd season 3 all over again BECAUSE HE AND WE DESERVE IT!!!
Gay surrogacy and gay adoption are predicated on the idea that gay men (or women) have a “right” to become parents. This idea is not only morally insane but also logically incoherent. It’s exactly like jumping off a building and claiming that you have the right to fly. Nobody has the right to defy the laws of nature. Where would such a right even originate? Two men cannot be parents. It’s impossible. Doesn’t matter how they feel or what they want. It cannot be. The only “right” at issue here is the right of the child. And the child has a right to be raised by a mother and a father, not two men masquerading as mother and father.
Great work to all the transphobic pickme gays because you're next on the menu
In the same manifesto, Palantir's owners argued that we need a national military draft, that soft power is over, and that we were too hard on Germany and Japan after World War II. I don't think that company should be allowed to exist anymore.
The wild cultural overreaction in the wake of Kirk’s death looks increasingly bizarre the further we get away from it.

I wish more educators and fewer lawyers would run for public office, in part b/c the best ones are naturals at explaining the whys of things.
We could use more people in public life who cultivate understanding and bring people along together instead of "voters are too dumb to appreciate language"
The Chicago show was labeled as 14+, but it definitely was not well advertised at all. I didn't know until I stopped to take a photo of the digital poster after the show.
I also think 14 is a bit low given how explicit some jokes were, but 🤷♀️
I think it helps that he seems super self aware and has a good sense of humor about himself. His tiktok page is fun because half the videos are just him shitposting.
Ed honestly probably does have more money than A Rod does. Which I say as a fan of Ed's. Dude runs his own record label, which he uses to distribute his music and uplift smaller artists he likes.
There are so many, but the top favorite is between:
"Shut up and take my money!" (Which I quote regularly) and
"Why does Ross, the largest friend, not simply eat the other 5?"
The number of times he grinned at the audience because he knew how good the bit he'd just done was killed me.
I haven't stopped thinking about his set since I saw it in Chicago. I was on his side from the start, but every time I see robots like this, I can't help but see the specific ways they're proving him right.
Folks who attended Rhys Darby’s standup: THIS IS WHAT HE WAS WARNING US ABOUT. Time to grab a dildo and save humanity!
It was! That whole area of the city was super walkable.
That was such a great day. It a really chill, fun way to meet most of the group we went to the rooftop bar with.
Fucking April
mRNA technology may be THE most underrated and unfairly scrutinized (fuck you COVID antivax crew) medical breakthrough in my lifetime.
Like... The things this is already showing it can do in the last 5-7 years is incredible.
This is a case study in how extremism robs your life of all meaning and joy, piece by piece
(and how much misery some folks will endure, just to avoid admitting they were wrong)
