This fking asshole can take his apology & shove it. He has the balls to say even though he knew he was lying to ppl it wasn't intentional. Bullshit! He knew exactly what he was doing & he knew it was wrong but he was making so much money he didn't care. He's a douchebag of the worst kind.

After France, Denmark is moving too: its Digitalisation Ministry plans to phase out Microsoft, switching to Linux and LibreOffice in the coming months. The goal is clear—reduce dependence on a handful of global tech giants and strengthen digital sovereignty.

This video must have been a crazy effort - stop motion with a live character. Now that's dedication. But then again it did become iconic.

Trump pardons allies who boost his crypto coin.

Trump invests in corporations that he's supposed to be regulating.

Trump cuts deals with autocrats to advance his family's real estate business.

The list goes on.

We must not become numb to this corruption.

Trump and Republicans are suddenly realizing that if they lose the House in November, Trump’s presidency is effectively over, and they know that this is likely to happen. Trump is panicking. We need to make this outcome a reality.

Got our solar panels installed this AM. They came at 8:30am and we're gone by 1:30pm. 13 panels and 10kwh battery.

We can't export to the grid yet (the network operator has been flooded with new requests) but we charged our car with the sun this afternoon. Great feeling, strongly recommend.

A tale of two Americans: The Pope speaks out against Russian atrocities. The president says nothing (and even worse, relaxes sanctions on Russia while ending aid to Ukraine).

Ah yes, the faith-fluid MAGA

Totally right. Russia isn't anything near what the Soviet Union was - unfortunately a lot of these old "cold warriors" - from Biden to Merkel - seems to have swallowed every bit of the Rusprop.

Russia is a mafia 'stan with nukes, that's it. Very dangerous but hardly a superpower.

Indeed, same to you.

Maybe - but the Russian "capacity of sacrifice" is to an extent a myth carefully cultivated by the regime. During WW1 this capacity was huge. Until it wasn't. And the current Russian potemkin empire is nowhere close to Russia of the previous world wars. Demographics were dismal even before this war.

Not how to fight with them no - that they can only get partly from the Russians - just like NATO with Ukraine.

It's not the expensive ones I'm afraid of - it is the cheap ones. If China goes all in with their industrial base to manufacture AI powered drone swarms... things would suck.

To be fair, cohesive sentences is too complex for Trump...

Agree 100%. The European security architecture formthe coming decades totally depend on the outcome. We need to double down on making Ukraine stronger - and Russia weaker. And stop being more afraid of Eussia losing than Ukraine.

The issue with "Russian collapse" is that they had a huge war chest for this exact purpose (National Wealth Fund). And at the average rate of drawdowns, 2026 is the year they run out of liquid assets. Of course as you say it depends on circumstances - like Trump and oil prices.

A. Turkey is part of NATO. But yes we shouldn't trust Erdogan.

B. I trust Greece a lot more. And just because the actual strait is Turkish, any Russians trying to get further into the Med would... struggle.

No doubt about it. Contemporary Russia is the ideological sibling of MAGA USA. Of course the love is one sided, Russians hate the US.

Juat read the US national security strategy.
There's even a name for the attempt - "reverse Nixon". Elbridge "Eldritch" Colby is one of the architects.

Absolutely. And the most dangerous thing they are learning is AI drone tech as well as manufacturing. Supposedly 90% of Russian drone components are Chinese.

I have faith too, but I think it is dangerous to be arrogant and underestimate the enemy - basically Putins biggest mistake.

A battle hardened Russian enemy is very dangerous if it isn't stuck in Ukraine. But I don't think they would be so stupid as to start a full blown war head on w NATO.

Oh absolutely. But getting training is one thing and having experience in large scale, operational drone warfare is another. The Ukrainians absolutely destroyed NATO in Hedgehog. And so would Russians with the same equipment. At the moment.

Militarily I agree. Economically is different. Russias achilles heel is oil exports through the Baltic Sea and the Bosphorus. The might wreak havoc on the battlefield but would enter an economic crisis in weeks.

Not yet, Whoreban is still standing in the way.

Before long though, yes.

I think it is a dangerous misconception. A more relevamt question, could Russia conquer the Baltics? See, they don't need to march all the way to Lisbon, only dismantle NATO and install a bunch of Russian prostitutes like Orban. No need for invasions of puppet states.

1 day ago 0 0 0 0

Completely agree.

As long as Russia is stuck in Ukraine they do not have the capacity to exapand the war, but Russians have gotten a lot of drone war experience during this war too - while much of NATO is to a large part doctrinally stuck in the 1990s.

So is China BTW. If only the US would not have slipped into strategic delusions about somehow convincing Russia to join the US over China.

I’d like to see a Buttigieg AOC ticket in 2028. Either one will excel as President. I know it won’t happen. I’m not an idiot. I’d just like to see smart, energetic liberals in charge of our country.

And they think they get some kind of advantage by looking into it when in fact it's the one on the other end seeing what ALL others see that holds the real power. Because information is power. The name Palantir is almost on the nose.
