Unend is very light in season 1, though season 2 less so. Finishing Midst first is good, but if you want a break Unend is very bright at the beginning, if you want to do that Friday instead. Or anything else you want to do, if you have something else you'd like to watch/play/etc πππ
The whole series is definitely cathartic in the end, though as you know it goes to some really fucking dark places and there's still a few of those to hit before we finish. But I'm not the type who enjoys a series that is sad forever and Midst absolutely sticks the landing in the end. β€οΈ

We were right at the start of season 3 of Midst iirc, which definitely has some lighter episodes and bits of good news. A few sad things also but mostly lighter episodes.

She was quite content; it took her about four hours to realized she was trapped in my room.
He wasn't home when she showed up so I got to beg forgiveness rather than ask permission. He was pissed about it but after a happy reunion with her owner he can hardly say I did anything wrong. And I got to pet a cat for eleven hours.

She was, in fact, an escapee, which is a relief. Glad she was outside on accident and not on purpose. Outdoor cats are a terrible idea in general but very not safe to have an outdoor cat around here. Wayyyy too many predators and cars.
Mission success! Took her to the shelter, got her chip scanned, brought her back home and an hour later the owner called me to come get her.

I've switched to driving exclusively with my off hand. I started doing so during the multi-thousand mile road trips (no cruise control) but now I just do it habitually all the time. My dominant hand is still ready to go at all times but making the off hand do 99% of the work has definitely helped.
