I’m gonna be honest. I really wish people would stop bringing screenshots of dumb Twitter posts over here. The whole reason so many people here left that place is to NOT have to read the stuff. We know it’s dumb. We know it’s rage bait. We don’t need to see it here.

Big mayonnaise is tackling the issue. The thin part of the bun is sufficient when not soaked in grease.

Same reason they don't ever try to change age of consent laws β€” you know you're elite when you can fuck a child without consequences. If anyone could do it, there would be no appeal. How would they get their thrills?

Yes. The F-150 was 40% of Ford's sales. If they stopped making F-150's, Ford would not exist.

Planning to buy a new computer soon, but prices are so high right now, I think I'll wait.

A starfield filled with thousands of stars and shining clouds of dust. The Milky Way\u2019s elegant spiral structure is dominated by just two arms wrapping off the ends of a central bar of stars. Spanning more than 100,000 light-years, Earth is located along one of the galaxy\u2019s spiral arms, about halfway from the center. Credit: NASA

Her story, like Jenny's, was messy, volatile, and ended too young. Maybe she did me a kindness. I'm happy these days β€” I don't regret the way things went, but I still wish I could've somehow helped my friend avoid the fate she saw coming.

Back in high school there was this girl. I liked her and she liked me, but at the end of the day she figured I was going places and she was not, and she knew she was going to hold me back. So even though we both wanted to be together, she never let it happen.

Jenny reminds me a lot of her.

Start with ProProProProProProProProProPrologue, and trim off a pro every chapter. The climax can be simply Logue. Then the denouement can be epilogue, epiepilogue, etc.

It's the countdown to real shit, and then reflecting on it.

There is something about the Resident Evil moves β€” and Underworld, in fact β€” that even though I can recognize them as objectively bad movies, I still enjoy watching them. I can't quite put my finger on the reason why...

Robert Mueller accomplished much over the course of his life, but if his (or anyone's) only legacy was to be so hated by a tyrant, he would still be a hero.

You're saying she was more progressive than Obama and Biden. Maybe Bill if you stretch "generation." That seems like a low bar, and I'm yet to be convinced she clears it by much. She's another pro-corp, low-regulation liberal like Bill. She's more progressive like W was more progressive than Trump.

The difference between Zuck and Boll is that if you're in the right frame of mind, Boll's stuff is goofy, campy fun. His ability to get academy award winning actors to deliver career-worst performances is uncanny.

Zuck on the other hand fails to ever elevate himself above giant douche.

One of only two celebs I've stood in line to meet at cons. The other is Robert Krimmer β€” Emperor Cartagia. I absolutely love the side characters that make movies and series shine. Would love to have met Tim Choate and Wayne Alexander.

He wrote 92 out of 110 episodes including entire seasons. He practically willed that show into existence through sheer determination and vision.

You can't rely on ChatGPT for reliable information about itself. It has no capacity to introspect. It's just parroting training data tempered with a goal of being helpful and supportive.

In other words, it's just as fallible regarding itself as it is about anything else.

Not that it's wrong...

I would just say that they do also aggregate a number of sources, while the top Google searches are just whomever has the best ranking manipulation tech.

They can't be relied on, but they aren't worse than the internet as a whole.

I didn't enjoy Canto, but I think it's the part where the theme is developed: sometimes heroes fail. And then they pivot and that fails, too. And so on until at last they don't fail.

TLJ was small and intimate just when the sequels needed to pull back from epic. I agree it was the best after ESB.

I always saw the Ferengi as capitalism run amok rather than a specific racial stereotype.

Klingons seem to represent the noble savage trope, which has roots in racism, but I don't necessarily see a direct racial reference.

But I'm not always the most perceptive on those issues.

I don't know how anyone hopes to capture that same lightning in a bottle. They can't continue with the same cast because everyone is old enough you have to hope they've moved on from that part of their life. A new cast won't have the same chemistry. It's time to let it go. Plus... Joss... nuff said.

I absolutely love Krull. It's a terrible movie. Thing is... I don't love it because it's so bad it's good, I love it for the heart and creativity and vision. It's a bunch of epic, memorable scenes and characters that serve a dull, mediocre narrative. Like a TTRPG with great players and bad GM.

I rip off such systems and built them into other games all the time to either provide variety or encourage the kind of play I find rewarding. I love when they provide better dramatic pacing or more complex characters or choices without adding heavy mechanical overhead.

Keep playing with hammers.
