A funny thing about this, is that I went to my local bookstore on Sunday and I asked one of the employees for the buyer's contact information so that I could pitch them stock this cute thing.

And then, I saw it right there on the shelves. So, that was a fun surprise!

Chinook salmon found naturally hatching in Upper Klamath River for first time in a century The Klamath Tribes are celebrating evidence of Chinook salmon spawning in Klamath River tributary.

After big dams on the upper Klamath River in far northern CA were removed in 2024, Chinook (king) salmon migrated upstream for the first time in 100+ years--and now they have hatched.

Another whale video from this week because they’re so good. Some folks spotted this juvenile gray whale having a good time in the waves North Beach in Point Reyes. The whales are on their way back to Alaska right now.
