So I've been quiet lately. Life threw some curves. I had to help work on my spouse's autobiography. Ghostwriter failed to deliver something readable so I had to do a lot of editing. I joined Reedsy yesterday to migrate my writing there. I also joined Substack today.

Another CaturDog Day
Let it be
It's a character-driven, multi-POV, fantasy with steampunk elements. The core theme revolves around a crumbling peace and the people who are trying to restore it. The five books were originally intended to be one book, but they were divided into five due to their length.
Yes I am working with someone on that as well. It's going well also. Early stages right now.
My entire five book series will consist of a total of 150 chapters. 32 in book 1. 30 in book 2, book 3, and book 4, with 28 in book 5. My main focus is book 1, which my editor is currently working on. For my first drafts, I'm up to book 2, chapter 8, so 40 of 150 chapters so far

Work has been insane, but I've been praised by the team so far. Always good to be acknowledged, even after all the time away due to the contract issues.
Aside from writing and editing, I'm also working with marketing to get my website set up for pre-marketing. I've seen a first draft image of the website and gave a lot of feedback. I approved the logo for the site already. I'm very excited about everything.
Returning to work has been a good thing, but has changed how I balance my time. I'm still working with my editor at a rate of one chapter per week, which is perfect for me. We're already about 1/3 of the way through. And I'm about 1/5 of the way through my book 2 drafts. So progress is great.
My book cover design has been approved. Book One is moving forward nicely. I'm excited.

Today....
"To be continued..."
"Network: We cancelled the show."
First day back to work after the contract confusion that took over three months to resolve. Crazy busy getting back on track.

Did you all see The Comic Con Dog??
Vivi is all of us.
I am excited. The first pass of my cover art is done. Going to make suggestions for minor changes, but overall looking great. It's moving forward. ๐
It's amusing to me that kindness and compassion can be so triggering to people who would prefer a hero to be more about brute force and violence.
He's Superman, not Homelander.
Oh YES you are! ๐
One of my favorites:
Fire Beneath the Leaves Chapter Seven is now available to members: reamstories.com/solandara
Chapter One is still available for free, without requiring joining.
Tentative work start date: July 14.
Confirmed work start date: July 14.
Sorry, there's more to do.
Tentative work start date: July 21.
Today: Still don't know when starting.
The way it was written sounded like so many others that respond with nearly the exact same words.
I had suspicions as well. So many bots and ai accounts. And since that's just a temporary cover, not my final, I left it alone. I have an agency helping me with editing, publishing, cover art, and marketing.
I have been eagerly awaiting this to return.

This is Latte. He does not know how many books you have read. But knows for a fact that he has read more. 12/10 (IG: coton_latte_is)
