So yay, glad to be back??

social media in general is a big burden for me these days. What I like about "microblog" sites like these is that I enjoy reading and it tickles my ADHD to get a bunch of different ideas at once. But there's a cost to it, I knew better, I left then returned. So I'm probably done at this point.

I DO need access to it since you have to have an account to view most things these days - my local transit provider uses twitter first and for some reason, sometimes just exclusively for up-to-date service announcements, but it's left a sour taste in my mouth that's my own fault.

If I appeal it again, I get an error that my appeal has already been processed (?!) so last resort was to email their android support team.

Honestly I should have never gone back. I knew better and I gave in to convenience. I think I'm done with it at this point.

10 days ago I was told that my account was locked for violating policy. I appealed the tweet in question, they agreed that it was in error and reinstated me, only to find that I can't get back in no matter what I do: password change, cookie/cache clearing, browser change - nothing works.

So I keep meaning to come back here 'cause I got sucked back in to The Bad Place during twitchcon... but something that happened over there might not only keep me permanently over here but also I may end up deleting my account entirely.

I don't like being that person - since my last posts a couple weeks ago were complaining about Twitch updates (lol) and Phas is basically my favorite game, that hasn't changed, but these sounds are an embarassment and they stand out in a very bad way. It's not scary, it's *distracting*

An investment in foley/specialized sound design would have done wonders. No idea how they got these sounds but please send them back, they are Bad™

Every single time hear the "laugh" or the "candle blow" it just makes me think of someone raiding the free YT Sound library at 4am for their game jam deadline—not knocking game jammers! The game audience was largely *built* on sound and its subtlety.

For a game *known* for its sound design, the new #Phas update is an abomination sound-wise and I will die on this hill. Not just the mixing, I'm referring to the samples. What EVEN are they thinking? It's vastly cheapened the experience. Which sucks because the actual gameplay is great.

I **HATE** the new mobile "stream manager" oh my god. Oh my GOD what were they thinking.

I used the old one for EXACTLY the things it showed. I can't see my uptime, unlike others I *want* to see my viewer count, and I have to swap screens to use the quick actions. WORSE...

There was another surge at 5am today, which means the wires are still rather "toasty" so I've learned that even if today is going to be mild - give it a day to literally chill out.

One of the surges shut off my art printer. Testing it shortly.(It's on a surge protector but they aren't perfect!)

The problem essentially boils down to: old building + slumlord + fried electrical from over-stressing it in 2020 during shelter-in-place orders.

Power goes through wires, they heat up, system cuts it off til they cool down.

Stops the building from burning down, but stops habitability, too.

If you remember the electrical BS I went through last summer during the heatwave, TL;DR same thing started up again... in spring... after just a 2-day 85-degree warmup (and temps in the low 70s before that).
