On the iPlayer, it often takes an hour or more for live programmes to appear for viewing. Gawd knows what they do in that time. I have visions of blokes in lab coats rewinding the spool with a pencil.

Your idea's great, but I'd still want a transcript. Would be an excellent source to slice & dice.

The BBC does correct others but certainly not consistently. The technology exists to do this on the fly, although I'd prefer some human intervention.

Apart from anything else, it would be fascinating to watch/read and could actually improve politicians' accuracy/honesty, over time.

I really don't get why they can't routinely do this for every claim uttered by politicians on their flagship programmes.

Failing that, publish full transcripts and let open sourcers have at it.

Punishment: three strikes and they're banished from the Politics Live sofa.

The absolute state of it. Yes, America... vote for somebody off the telly. What could possibly go wrong?

I struggle to watch Smith, given the extent to which the cosmetic procedures have disfigured her.

I still think the USA is capable of voting for an even worse president, next time. We're beyond the need for backup plans; time to move on.

I know it's also on the original, but whose hand is that at bottom-right, and where is it going?

Downloaded fine for me (android). The issue might be that you have to click/tap the down-arrow icon to the right of the filename.

I don't know why, but a distant memory tells me its full Sunday name was "MC68000".

There's also the possibility that we can work it out for ourselves. I've slowed down a tad and am now getting 66mpg from a petrol estate.

I'm going through the Chunnel in a few weeks time. I hope they iron out the wrinkles by then.

They often can't*, because they're tied into the cloudy peripheral stuff like O365.

*Or it would be very difficult.

Learn something new every day. I though boîte was just the word for box. Turns out it covers a few other things.

There are some active BBC Verify folks on here so, you know... Might be worth highlighting Lord Robertson's potential conflict of interest?

Having said that, we're all under the expensive heels of privately educated Oxbridge types. Even the ones worn by the "good" guys.

They continue with the Trump Playbook but forget just how unpopular Trump is in the UK. Let them continue being so stupid.
