Like I used to reach for this app like a genuine addict, and Instagram and tumblr, and now I open any of them and it feels the exact same as when someone hands me a cigarette. I just don't really want it and if I do light it up for 2 seconds I feel nauseous and sick and wonder why I ever did this

I know this is news to exactly no one but I am amazed at how much healthier I am just not being on social media and not constantly exposed to "you're ugly, but here's how to fix it!" ads and my peers bickering over stupid shit and 24/7 nsfw that I CANNOT filter out and shitty news all day long

It has been years since I felt like I could say how I really feel about things around me without judgment/fear of abandonment or abuse and I am so so so glad, like damn I feel like myself again

Yesterday several friends came over for some hours and yapped about our shared hyperfixation while I sat at a sewing machine pinning and sewing together a big goofy dragon arm for them

Finally figured out what I was missing before -- I needed this feeling of community + actual belonging so much

I am never on here anymore because I got sucked back into real life + playing SoS Grand Bazaar for like 100 hours in a week... but mostly regrowing an irl social life and that has been really good

I have been doing art a little again, maybe I will have something cute to show soon!!
