I've just found out the upcoming election in my area is for our new council that won't even exist until 1st April next year.
I knew the reorganisation was happening but I thought this election was for existing boroughs which I thought was a pointless exercise for just one year.

@sarahfinch.bsky.social is a living legend.
This smart dog knows about politics, he literally gives a shit.😆😆
Old people randomly stopping in the supermarket annoys me.
I few weeks ago I did it and got in the way of a young lady.
The horror and embarrassment that I'm now one of them!

I must have a delve through the Damaged Goods catalogue again. Not been there for a few years. Probably my favourite active record label.
I'm in a very melodic, non-punk musical mood this evening.

It's just occurred to me after all this time that this has 10,000 Maniacs vibes.
We Are Going To Eat You - Heart In Hand.
May or may not include some of Hagar The Womb if I recall correctly. I loved this when it appeared on Snub TV. I assumed they would go on to be massive. Shame.

2026: Keir Starmer repeatedly says he was not told that Peter mandelson failed security vetting
2025: Oliver Robbins to parliament on November 2025, "It was clear the Prime Minister wanted to make this appointment himself. The FCDO was informed of his decision and acted upon it"
He knew that UK-produced weapons were being used to kill civilians in occupied Palestine.
He knew that RAF planes were used to gather intelligence to help the IDF commit war crimes.
He knew that supporting the USA in attacks on Iran was never “defensive”.
Starmer is a liar.
And Legal, Illegal, Scheissegal by Slime.
Great band, Slime.

I've had two sing-a-longs buzzing around my head on the streets today.

Delighted to see this finally happening. It's been at the top of my spreadsheet for months and I'm bored of seeing it every day. Dunno why it's so far behind, it's not an XLR or anything special. Airbus are delivering aircraft with MSNs in the 13100s these days.

Still annoyed with Skycard battles. I bet 10 coins every time. Last three games it's paired me with someone betting 75, someone betting 100 and someone betting 5 who had the best everything at cyber level.
The first two are the app's fault, the last one is the player. There should be more controls.
And we get foxes around here. This could cause all sorts of commotion.
How quaint. My neighbours have got geese. Five or six of them. I found this quite delightful until two minutes ago when I realised they live outside my bedroom window. They'd better sleep at the same time as me. I shall not be impressed if the honking bastards keep me awake at night.
Blimey. The UK and Ireland will be generating so much energy it'll be virtually free (well, it should be but won't be).
I had Bring Down The House by King Prawn stuck in my head today. I don't know if anyone heard me singing "rob them, rape them, torture and kill them" whilst pounding the streets.

BREAKING - Zarah Sultana MP exercises Parliamentary Privilege to expose the unjust nature of the Filton 24 re-trial.
UK press has been court ordered not to publish these details.
“If convicted, they and 18 others will be sentenced as terrorists, but the jury will not be told that”
The KEXP video from February is the moment they gained worldwide attention. 10 million views in less than two months for a previously little known act.

At least their music is cheap on Bandcamp. Got their entire discography (including La Poexe) for under £20. They could have really cashed in here but they've chosen not too. The La Poexe stuff is all 'pay what you want'. Great stuff.
On that note, their UK gig list is growing and still selling out before I'm aware. Two nights in a 3000 capacity venue in October - gone as soon as announced. Bah!
After watching dozens of AdP reaction videos I've finally found one that explains why this duo's music has embedded itself firmly in my brain. Seriously, I can't think of this happening to me since I was a teenager about 100 years ago.

Indeed. How many of us Brits can name the Irish President? Or the Taoiseach? Or even pronounce Taoiseach?
One officer who unlawfully arrested a woman at yesterday’s Lift The Ban vigil put these fake notes into an evidence bag.
Another officer apparently had to point out that they weren’t real currency or evidence of any wrongdoing.
The whole thing is absurd.
