Conservatives haven't had policy since they called themselves Democrats. But back then their policy was Jim Crow, so... that tracks actually

‘Simply stop giving millionaires water for literally free’ is one of the most insane sounding but actually serious policy solutions out there
Our acting attorney general publicly admits that he is unwilling to do his job.
There really is no such thing as race. We all came from Africa. We are all of the same stardust. We are all going to live and die on the same planet, a Pale Blue Dot in the vastness of space. We have to work together.

Then your argument is with Biden, not Harris, because her campaign was not allowed to diverge at all from the Biden admin on policy.
And I agree with you that it probably cost her a lot of votes, but in a future situation like this, you don’t have to let one of them be yours.
It will result in other changes. And it’s a little reductive to say they’re the same on Palestine when Harris “just” wanted to give weapons to Israel, while Trump talks about wiping out Gaza and building a new riviera.
And how does not voting affect change either way? Could you explain that one?
Yes, because they also said other things, and because one of them was definitely going to win in a close election.
Did getting Trump instead of Harris help to affect the change you were hoping for?
Does that mean resurrection of iTunes? Does it still exist??
I will happily give equal scorn to all non-Harris voters regardless of reason. Unless the reason is that they prefer Trump in which case they get extra scorn on top.
Clearly I think political change happens (in a democracy) by voting. Do you think it happens by not voting?
Yes that’s what the 😛 was for
Anyway your reaction was to @pettyp8149.bsky.social’s thread and she wasn’t being mean to you or even addressing you
Randos are mean to you on the internet, yes. They are quite mean to me too
How on earth would NOT voting for the democrats help any of those people
Indeed it’s wrong. Your Linux distribution should be managing your node versions. 😛
Every election is a compromise. Compromise is the nature of politics. Your vote is not an endorsement, it’s a lever to affect the outcome of the election. Press it or don’t but don’t feel bad about pressing it for anyone other than Trump while Trump is on the ballot.
I said “and candidates” which clearly includes Biden.
Takes me a while to reply. I don’t think most voters cared about genocide of Palestinians either way in 2020; it wasn’t really an issue being discussed then.
Can’t tell if this is sarcasm so I’ll assume it’s really good sarcasm
Oh really? Who specifically is involved and what is their role? What did “the Democratic Party” do exactly that wasn’t something the voters or the candidates selected by the voters did?
There’s no “the party” separate from the candidates and the voters.
It’s much simpler than this. Trump was able to regain power because he got more votes.
“Trump won because of the Harris voters who actually used their vote to try to affect the outcome, not me, the morally superior sitter-outer”
Like do you hear yourself?
But you didn’t withhold your vote. Why act like you’re being attacked when you’re not?
Indeed, thanks Valve!!
I think Proton was and continues to be a lot of work for Valve, and a lot of things “Just Work” in it that were a pain just running through Wine.
Every Windows program I’ve tried has run flawlessly in Linux with this One Weird Trick: run it inside Steam (install it as an external “game”).
The victims ranged in age from 1 to 14, according to Cpl. Chris Bordelon of the Shreveport Police Department, who spoke at a news conference. He said the shooting appeared to be domestic in nature.
God I wish we were rid of the "domestic" euphemism, which softens a brutal type of violence and makes it sound like a private affair. "Man shoots eight children, all family members, at three locations across Shreveport."
Just so we’re all clear, Gary Sinise should have won that one, right?
