I still fully believe the pit world is Andrew's never-ending nightmare (later altered by the Agony of the MCI) after his body is left in the ball pit by William.

And so once he is freed by Oswald killing the Yellow Rabbit, Andrew makes Afton suffer the exact same fate with the UCN.
