Do you see how democrats enable the slide into fascism
Trump and Biden both acted in accordance with US imperialist ambitions. This is a dangerous narrative they are enabling on purpose to excuse US leaders behavior

I agree with you that most Americans that have approve of socialism don’t actually know what it really means on a deep level, but I do think the change from most Americans being rabidly pro capitalist and anti socialist to approving of socialism signifies a shift that matters
Is “their way or not at all” being valid in certain circumstances very dependent on what we are talking about. If we are talking about slave abolitionists is “their way or not at all” still wrong?
In your own words restate what the materialist definition of exploitation is as described in the video
Did you actually read the thread? What points do you think I’m making?
They hear “a lot of people don’t vote” and their brain starts malfunctioning before reading anything else
Once again concerned about people’s ability to read and follow a train of thought
I do not like Trump
Sorry my exasperated 2 am posting didn’t meet your requirements
somebody please pass along to Uzbek Bluesky: just saying, if you were to open a Tashkent Supermarket in DC you would be greeted as liberators.
“This bill is an extreme take on the already extreme copy-paste legislation peddled by the Palantir-funded, billionaire-backed Cicero Institute...”

I made you a theory but I eated lit
Whatever dude read my thread or don’t. Keep your head in the sand. The left in the US was crushed for no reason and we can’t possibly build it back. Appeasing the democrat party is the sole path forward. God help us all
You guys are getting paid screenshot with eye brow guy
People aren’t using the words??????
Do u agree socialists in the US are operating with severely underdeveloped infrastructure after decades of Cold War suppression, McCarthyism etc? That strong third parties are quite difficult in our current system? That DSA has grown substantially as has approval for socialism / disap of capitalism?
Listen dude I can’t make you critically engage with the thread I wrote either do or don’t. It would be cool if you could actually attempt to understand what I am try to say so we can have an actual conversation
No. If we just focus on voter capture and not actual movement building how will labor organize to make demands
We need to be building socialist, independent working class power that makes demands from outside liberal electoral coalitions. We need to be thinking about that always. Not just later
Anyway real socialist movement building will never be limited to just “voter capture” and I’m very tired of this premise being readily assumed by everyone for “pragmatic” reasons aka “this is just the situation we are in”
Are you ever going to engage with the point I’m actually making or what
Hence my use of “consistently opt out”
The Israeli army struck civilians in the Lebanese city of Mayfadoun.
And then, the Israelis double-tapped the medics who arrived onto the scene.
And then, they triple-tapped the next wave of medics.
And then, they did it one more time for good measure.
Nothing that I am saying here is making any claims about the effectiveness of not voting entirely. I am stating a fact that more people don’t vote than vote for either party.
“socialists need to manage their criticism of Obama” but no one is telling liberals they need to manage praise of Obama to remain credible to the people who lived through his admins management of the foreclosure crisis or keeping us on fossil fuels when most people worried about climate change etc
I didn’t say they were. They aren’t voting period
We are continually being told to moderate our politics to remain viable within a “coalition” that represents a shrinking fraction of the country and in reality represents the capitalist class and is highly influenced by funders and consultants
It’s interesting how socialists should always be managing their politics and criticism in reference to what Democratic leaders find acceptable because they might be deemed ungettable voters when 1/3+ of the country already consistently opt out of standard bourgeois electoral politics (voting D or R)
I’m not trolling. Not sure what you find confusing. I simply stated that capitalism has already set us on a path of destruction that will significantly alter living conditions and this will bring more people into that revolutionary head space. And also that we are in a different stage of recruitment
Implying ppl revolted because they were naive is strange. they revolt when they develop the political understanding that their conditions are not natural or inevitable.
Not sure what any of this is supposed to mean. Revolutions happen where people rejected their destitute status and last I checked literacy in the US wasn’t doing very well for being the richest country in the history of the world. That has to do with capitalism.
