Listened to it this morning on my way in to work— it was excellent! Really enjoy that Fugitive gives us some early insights of how the Doctor’s moral code developed over time.

What do you mean the last year and a half wasn’t one giant April Fools?

Do I think Doctor Who will do that? Probably not. But I wish they would.

Merge Billie and Fourteen at the end, the regeneration can finally complete, and that’s how we get our new Doctor. Would give them some time to figure out direction in the meantime, too.

I would do another three specials or something similar to what they did before, give Fourteen a couple more adventures to work toward being healed enough to move on. Could even set them in the future somewhere if they still wanted the possibility to play with him and his adopted family later.

So what if Billie isn’t a regen, but some Bad Wolf or Moment manifestation, a sort of limbo form. And the point of her is needing to help sort of shepherd Fourteen to his resolution so the Doctor can be whole enough to properly regenerate. Obviously would be the perfect face to do it.

(Mind you, whether the next regeneration is a bigeneration, I don’t care.) The point is, we sort of work with the idea that he’s operating with his partial self. Maybe we run with the idea that we need to resolve that so he can be at full charge to regenerate.

Furthermore, I was watching The Devil’s Chord last night, and it caught my attention when the Doctor mentioned that he didn’t think he could survive bigenerating again, because it split him in half already.

So it was said that the reason Fifteen was doing better is that the bigeneration let Fourteen do his rehab “out of order.” So theoretically at some point, Fourteen has to resolve to get to that point.

I figured out how I’d make the Billie Piper thing work in #DoctorWho.

We made the costumes using shitty google screenshots. Couldn’t figure out where to put the zips, so hid them under the epaulets. Years later found out from the DVD that they were on the back the whole time 😂

Pinnacle performances. Graeme Garden in particular consistently blew me away. And the last 10 minutes were gut wrenching.

Devastatingly accurate title. Probably looked crazy whilst listening to it on the bus.

Probably ranks in my top 10.

I’m on the third episode, and yet the Flux is still confusing the hell out of me. I dunno why. I think I’ve found between this and the last two seasons of Torchwood, I’m just not a fan of focused season arcs like this.

Good to see the Fugitive Doctor, though.

The bit at the end of The Book of Kells where the Doctor talks about how nice it is to be able to find out what’s behind the great unexplained moments in history felt like it was coming directly from all the writers of Doctor Who. Perfect for script ideas!

I find it so ironic that a couple weeks ago I joked we should do a twin cosplay of the Brig and Bret Vyon.

This is SO EXCITING

I thought with daylight savings the cats would give me an extra hour to sleep, considering they never cared about the time change when we went back. Nope. They started waking me up an hour earlier.

I fear fall.

I was supposed to be preparing for larp tomorrow, but instead I’m drinking cider and watching Doctor Who, and I can’t say it’s the worst use
of my time. 🤣

I just discovered that my phone now knows how to autocorrect “Davros.” That’s fun.

Situation Vacant was NOTHING like I anticipated. I swear the “A WHAT convention?” line was meta referencing Doctor Who cons.

I wish there was a way to do something like the companion search at an actual DW con. Larp/scavenger hunt style. It would be so fun.
