After a little over a decade, we have made the difficult decision to close Print and Play. This decision does not come lightly, as we understand the impact it will have on both the gaming community and our team members. We invested heavily to keep Print and Play operating as long as possible. However, the highly detailed, hands-on work required to produce our level of quality through a small team ultimately cost more than we could charge customers. At the same time, we chose to fully support our employees with comprehensive benefits, including 100% health insurance coverage, a 401(k), and a robust paid time off program. We also moved into a new state-of-the-art facility to provide a more appropriate workspace, and invested in new laser equipment in recent years. Combined with lease obligations and rising material costs, these factors significantly increased our operating expenses. Unlike some competitors, we are not backed by private equity, so we did not have access to large external capital to offset these challenges. Print and Play will finish all remaining orders in-house and officially close its doors on March 27th. We deeply appreciate all of the creatives, designers, and publishers who have allowed our team to contribute to this amazing industry over the years.
