Alright, it's between a MacBook Pro with an M4 chip or an Asus ROG Strix G16. I don't know if I'd ever use the laptop for gaming, but I want something that will last for a good while regardless. I've had good experiences with MacBooks in the past, but the Asus is cheaper. Decisions decisions.
Any of you use a MacBook? Are they worth getting? I'm in the market for a new laptop to act like a secondary computer for recording audio and video editing, but I want something that won't fall apart in a few years, either. Bad experiences with HP and Dell, but my old MacBook Pro lasted 9 years.
The YouTube channel for the team behind the Vice City conversion project is down, copyright claims by T2. I know the team are in Russia, but I wonder how hard it'll be for people who want to play it to even find it, since I'm sure most legit links will be deepsixed asap.

I've actually been feeling like another "GTA IRL" would be fun, even though the first wasn't the most popular and I doubt this one would be, either. But seeing another video of a recent incident kind of inspired me to maybe bring the idea back!

I actually had it in mind to discuss the fact that there could be potentially an official return to Liberty City, but I would have also prefaced it with a reminder that it's maybe too optimistic.
I hate that the Liberty City mod got taken down, and now I'm wondering, should I even do a video about this? It's disappointing all the way around, and even though I recorded audio for it, I feel like just moving on from it I think and doing something more fun.
Made it home just in time to see someone on TV at 3 stars trying to find a paint shop or a tunnel to idle in.
Even though it wasn't a popular video, I still think doing that "GTA IRL" video last year was fun. Kinda maybe wouldn't mind doing it again while there's no news on VI.
I have no clue what to stream next. Been thinking Splinter Cell: Conviction, Saints Row (2006), or Watch Dogs, maybe? Or just GTA V again? Gotta have something to do a proper playthrough of, instead of just driving around aimlessly in Liberty City (the mod adding it to GTA V is awesome btw!)

I think I've resolved the mic issue. I backed up everything important and did a complete Windows 11 reset. Disabled HD audio in the BIOS to prevent RealTek drivers from reinstalling, but I can still record on my mic and listen to anything via the mic's headphone jack. No more issues!
Mic or motherboard. It's Asus, and while I can't find anyone having the exact issue as me, it seems like there's plenty of audio issues associated with them. Spent three hours today trying to figure this out still.
My microphone and/or motherboard audio is really giving me hell. Anything I record or broadcast now has popping/static every 5-10 seconds. It's confusing, and I feel like I've done so much troubleshooting these past three weeks that something must be faulty. This is mega annoying 😑

Hey, BlueSky-ers! Sup? FYI, I'll likely be playing GTA IV later on Twitch. Getting into a car chase in snowy and icy streets is hilarious, and I feel like doing the whole game like this again for this month. Snow and Christmas decorations actually suit the game really well.
