Almost feel like it could’ve been really quite good if Denzel’s character was the main focus. Was also kinda painful how the ending is the first time it gets close to early-2000s large scale Ridley Scott in that it looked and felt real, and then it’s just so empty and meaningless

If you chopped up and blended Russell Crowe, then poured the sludge into a vaguely man-shaped mould and stuck a Russell Crowe mask on it, and got Denzel nearby smiling, you would have the human equivalent of Gladiator 2.

Only difference to the original is that this time nothing is interesting.
