Are Monasterio and Mayer the only ones in competition for 2B now?

I’ve always fretted when the Sox had more than one southpaw starter. Now there are three (predictably) and three more in line!
Durbin wasn’t on my radar but I have a good vibe. Breslow has decidedly changed the character of this team. He and Cora have a vision, hopefully a successful vision.
David Hamilton?
Thanks for recording a show today. Even if there’s no action, hot stove is thought consuming!
Should the Red Sox consider trading $18M contact hitter Masataka Yoshida?
Those 4-outfielder path with Yoshida still rostered seems a less than optimal path. Even with Rafaela at 2B, it robs Cora of the flexibility he prefers.
Please consider a show centered on Yoshida (apologies if I missed one previously). Good player without a good fit in Boston. How might the Sox move on creatively?
Thanks for the reasoned, dispassionate commentary on winter meetings. I’ve become a greater Breslow fan over time. He has an approach that is not in keeping with the fans or many in the media. His approach makes me think and I like it.
We take some things too seriously … and other things not seriously enough.
So the Sox didn’t make an offer?
Breslow doesn’t think like the fans, or the media. The Crochet and Bregman deals came without a lot of warning last year. I’m wondering what is still below the surface … and glad that the Birds are living up to the expectations of the division.
Got more than Schwarber!
Roster spot
Ask Boras if the Red Sox get a multi-player discount for signing both Alonso and Bregman.
Drew Pomeranz?? I thought he and Breslow Red Sox teammates!
Dwight Evans slighted again
Venezuela seems an extremely risky place given the developing conflict with the current administration.
June 1 marks the start of the third annual observance of Fidelity Month. I was all in at the beginning and renew my endorsement of the initiative. Many excellent programs are planned. Join the movement! fidelitymonth.com

Begin your day with a prayer for the pope. Not with worry or joy; just prayer. (Unsplash 📸 by Chris Czermak.)
An American is chosen as pope and U.S. Catholics scramble to look up his political affiliation in order to define his faith perspectives. Maybe we should allow our faith to define our political priorities instead. 🤦♂️
By choosing the name Leo, the new pope suggests a link to the last pontiff to bear that name, LEO XIII, who authored Rerum Novarum in 1891, the landmark document of modern Catholic Social Teaching. capp-usa.org/pope-leo-xiv/
My view just before sunrise during this morning’s walk.
Cardinal electors will be cut from the world but hopefully dialed in to heaven.

“Pope Francis reminded us that ‘mercy’ is the very name of God, and, therefore, no one can put a limit on his merciful love with which he wants to raise us up and make us new people.”
What great insights! May Francis’ quest for peace never subside!
