You always put out a great show! They were our go-to when the kids were young and we had family pizza night.
It’s mostly Baptists and Catholics where I am and both of them frown on Sunday services. Maybe we’ll have a wake on a Sunday night, but that’s it. This family was loosely affiliated and didn’t even want a minister for the funeral. So it was a quick eulogy and then a drive to the cemetery.
A rare Sunday afternoon funeral. I’m fine with it because it’s one less funeral that we’ll have to do when I go on first-call this week. It’s already going to be a difficult week. Trying to get into the right headspace for it.
I just texted Bruce and I was like, “Why didn’t you ever tell me about this?” And he was all, “Oh yeah. That’s my great great great grandfather.” Lol.
