Vash and Wolfwood from Trigun Maximum fanart in color, reference to a panel in vol 8. Vash is leaning down, hair disheveled to cover his and Wolfwood’s faces and has his right hand resting on Wolfwood’s chest, over his heart area. Wings sprout from his back in mass, growing upwards and to the sides and importantly, around Wolfwood, who he holds upright with his feathers. Wolfwood, bloodied and injured, has his right hand over Vash’s shoulder and gripping at Vash’s back, into the bundle of feathers while his left hand is lifted outwards and feathers are wrapping around his palm and fingers, as though his hand is being held. A light mimicking a spotlight shines down brightly on them and in the background are silhouettes of Knives’ wings, in allusion of the impending events.
