On my weekend TBR pile.

So when I was reading a fanfic, I got a bit blind to the impact because I am so desensitized to the stories and facts of that era. I am grateful when others point out what I can’t always see in my academic blindness.

The problem with being a history major is that you become desensitized somewhat to the things you watch and see. I don’t compartmentalize that something is “problematic” until it is pointed out to me.

Thankfully working from home today. The temperatures this weekend are going to hit -44C (-56F) and with a windchill that makes it feel like -55C (-67F).

Guys, there is a Christmas parade in the maritime region of Canada called… “The Annual Christmas Daddies Parade”… and my feeble little fanfic brain said “Reylo?”

Fanfic pro-tip: do not let someone add your fic to their own personal “fave” collections. They can hide the fic, and you, the author, has to go in and manually opt-out. Some authors who haven’t been on in a while might not realize their fics are hidden.

I need to get into Anidala fanfic. Hayden has my heart.
