I hate how much of an "unsolved problem" this is on Windows.
Utterly impossible with C#/.NET because Microsoft thinks shipping 9 dlls inside 7 different folders is a-ok 🤪

After much cursing and shouting I have managed to create a single .exe that *should* "just work" on Windows. ( #PolyfoxSolitaire Vault for #Winpanes95)

It may not look like much, but this is real code running on a custom VM with real hardware virtualisation & VGA-like thing. I didn't find any of the available solutions for OS development satisfactory so obviously the only solution is to write a custom VM with a custom debugger. #osdev
