Seriously. With how often people say "trauma is no excuse [for behavior that makes me uncomfortable]" to people in actual life or death situations, you'd think they'd be able to get over their fear of a piece of fabric.
You would think "I don't want to hear people endlessly praise a sex pest" would be a low bar for participating in progressive community spaces, and yet.
Two-page spread with sketches of a nude model posing in different positions for 3-20 minutes each, drawn with a rainbow-cored colored pencil.
Scribbled until my rainbow pencil got too small
Thank you! I was really proud of how this 10 minute pose turned out.
Oh it looks great up there!

It’s that time of year
Thank you! Rainbow pencils are so much fun
Thank you! My hand was so cramped by the end trying to use the stubby pencil, haha.

Today I did two life drawing sessions, finished a painting, meditated for over an hour, and walked to the park. That was definitely too many things. Tomorrow's gonna hurt.
Finished, scanned, and made a test print! I'll post the finished piece tomorrow ☺️
Robin's art desk with an unfinished watercolor still life featuring cherry blossoms and allergy medicine, various watercolor palettes, paints, and supplies, and a tabby cat checking things out.
Close up of an unfinished watercolor painting featuring a pill bottle being used as a vase, cherry blossoms, and an inhaler.
My assistant and I are making good progress today
It really is! It's the first time I've ever seen it bloom.
Stylized gouache painting showing a colorful grid of 9 banned or restricted objects: vaccine vial and syringe, a COVID mask, a bottle of PrEP, an IUD, a passport, a condom, a porn magazine, HRT vials, and a can of "soup for my family"

A picture of a library shelf with a small rolled up note on it. The note says “read this” in child’s handwriting.
A picture of the note unrolled. In the same child’s handwriting it reads “beware of the future!!”
Still thinking about this note I found in the children’s section of the public library when I worked there back in 2018. This kid tried to warn us…
Calling my husband a Negative Nancy cause he's queer and tested negative for COVID.
Close up of pink serviceberry blossoms in a suburban/urban residential neighborhood.
Our new street tree is blooming! I love you, street tree!
I love seeing how people my age are starting to turn grey. Sprinkled randomly, all over, or little streaks. The patterns are so cool, I don't know how I didn't notice until it started happening to me.
Watercolor painting of an anthropomorphic comet woman with the progress pride flag for a tail swooping around the starship Enterprise in a beautiful nebula.
"Strange Love a Star Woman Teaches" aka the moment a comet lady turned the whole crew of the starship Enterprise queer & also transed their genders.
I printed a bunch on paper & as patches

Robin holds up two linocut prints of the same cherry blossom branch. One is in black ink on white paper, the other in pink ink on decorative petal paper.
Another linocut print of the cherry blossoms, this time in pink ink on textured semi-transluscent paper.
It's cherry blossom time! I love playing with different papers.
