We are inviting applications for a two-year postdoctoral position in a collaborative meta-science project on the effectiveness of data and code sharing policies in research-performing organizations. www.tue.nl/en/working-a...
This project also laid the foundation for my broader perspective on the value of Big Team Science as a powerful approach to advancing clinically relevant and globally applicable research.
Three recent papers examined reproducibility of a large sample of findings. Join this webinar to discuss them and explore where the findings converge and differ.

🌐 New paper at Psych Science
Across > 3 million psychology papers, we find that big team science is an emerging trend in psychology—one that is unevenly deployed across world regions to generate high-impact scientific insights.

OpenAlex (openalex.org) is rapidly closing the gap in funding metadata coverage. Re-using a dataset of NWO-funded papers we find they're now on par with Scopus and just slightly behind Dimensions.

Should we use error checking tools like Statcheck and GRIM to automatically check for errors in studies in meta-analyses?
I wrote a blog post with some insights from a hackathon where we scrutinized this idea.

Early review after reading two chapters. This quality and accessibility of the writing is amazing. Complex topics communicated clearly for a range of audiences. So far—quite a good and useful read.

Has transparency improved in clinical psychology? A repeated cross-sectional study (2012, 2018, 2024): https://osf.io/jn435
If anyone is interested in a journal leadership position, there is a call for editor-in-chief for the Journal of Open Psychology Data: openpsychologydata.metajnl.com/announcements. I'm on the board, so I'm happy to chat to anyone or put your in touch with others!
Graph showing the proportion of clinical psychology studies that adopted four transparent research practices (preregistration and sharing of measurement instruments, data, and analysis scripts) at three time points (2012, 2018, 2024). The graph suggests adoption of these practices has increased but remains uncommon.
Graph showing the proportion of clinical psychology studies that adopted three transparent research practices (reporting guidelines and disclosure of conflicts of interest and funding) at three time points (2012, 2018, 2024). The graph suggests use of reporting guidelines has increased but remains uncommon. Conflict of interest disclosure statements have increased and are now quite common. Funding disclosure statements were relatively common across the three time points.
Has transparency improved in clinical psychology? New cross sectional study from us (Bianca Kotoulas, Justine Blackwell & me). Adoption of transparent research practices has increased between 2012, 2018, & 2024, but aside from coi and funding disclosures, they remain uncommon osf.io/preprints/ps...
