as a hearing aid wearer, absolute same - makes it more uncomfortable & others wearing masks makes it much harder to hear (they muffle consonants & prevent auxiliary lip reading) - & nonetheless, yes, still buses & bathrooms & a few other situations but I greatly dislike it

merely a few years after the plague conflict arises between the king's worm of an advisor and the pope. a preacher whose doctrine advises strange uses of the flesh hath also near died before the public eye. woe upon us for we are under an evil star

it's also a bit of a reverse centaur situation for records clerks who use it - it accepts payment methods they otherwise may not be able to, etc, but it also assigns voluminous searches on very tight deadlines & doesn't help with the underlying problems that make records hard. not ideal.

What the death of Direct File tells us about state capacity We CAN have nice things - if we want them

"[The administration's characterization of Direct File] has it completely backwards. It is a calculation that only makes sense if you do not value the time and money of citizens, but regard the government doing anything to help the public as a burden."

I've never done a meal kit service but considering because we're going to be Airbnbing in another city for a week w/o our usual pantry. but all of these are set up for subscription - I guess I could do it & cancel after a week?

any recommendations for one with interesting menus?

Hungary election live: Viktor Orbán concedes defeat in Hungarian election after 16 years in power Long-serving prime minister beaten by opposition after early results showed clear lead

Orban has lost. What a great day! (Unlike some sundowning clowns we know, he has admitted he lost, too.)
