instead of posting individual updates for books I've now decided I'm just gonna keep reading like normal and then make a really big post about EVERY book I read this winter. It's gonna have some crazy stuff from Rick Claypool to Johann Hari, it'll be fun ;)

ANYTHING from Subnautica, the concept of the game alone freaks me out. I've tried multiple times to play it but I'm always too scared to do literally anything, same with Rain World.

I'd recommend it to pretty much anyone; there are some upsetting parts but nothing graphic. If you think a novel about two Iranian women's bond in the face of systemic injustice sounds interesting, you should really check it out! (3/3)

Next up on my reading list: The Great Gatsby!

It manages to be page-turn-y even when nothing outwardly dramatic is going on, and I never felt like any time was wasted on unnecessary plot details. As to how long it took me, I'm not sure because I took a break in the middle of reading it, but I remember it being of reasonable length. (2/3)

Last night, I finished Marjan Kamali's The Lion Women of Tehran! I'm not exaggerating when I say I've never cried at anything harder than I cried at this book. Alongside that, it was also just a great piece of entertainment... (1/3)

After 26 days, I've finished reading The Secret History! This is an amazing book!! and I'd recommend it to basically anyone.
That being said. It was UNBEARABLY LONG. No shade to Donna Tartt cuz this book is an achievement, but it was EXCESSIVELY slow at times. 10/10, never reading it again.

I actually hadn't seen EE until mid-December of last year, and I've been casually promenading through the series up until today. I was literally on THREEEE 4 when this episode came out; it barely even felt like a new episode when I watched it 😅

It was a long wait, but we made it!!
Also, we haven't had Insectophobe's Nightmare 5 yet so I'm gonna wager it'll be BFDIE 3 or 4.
Also also, MY TWO FAVORITE CHARACTERS (BH & One) INTERACT IN THIS EPISODE!! I will scream every time they appear, SLCo theater viewers be warned.

I can very much relate to the gender stuff though! It's been about 6 months since I came out to my family as nb and it's been quite slow. Hopefully 2026'll be a better year for that?

I'd like to say it was because of One Last Memory from the TNM soundtrack but truly it was just because we had to play a strings instrument in 3rd grade and violin was the one I chose, and honestly I really like playing it! I also want to pick up the bass but I just haven't found the time for it :(

I have to keep my nails short because I play the violin, so I can't relate to the long-nailed struggle :/ (or is it the short-nailed who struggle? I guess I wouldn't really know) but I send prayers for your nails to soon return to their former (however preferable) glory!

uh oh, reading this made me realize how long it's been since I've last taken a bath. 12 years, maybe? I love water of all forms so maybe I should try it someday. I thoroughly despise the feeling of soap on my body though, I'd have to take a shower after my bath 😅

it's probably never gonna happen but if JnJ made plushes of any of these five characters I would be LEAPING to buy them. Jammy is my immediate favorite but I feel like I'm gonna like Fern in the long run. I heavily fw Beach Ball too; enby rep ftw!!
