I really underestimated the importance of having a secretary of defense, who doesn’t like it when people die

I genuinely think that MAGA is sliding fairly quickly into solipsism--they don't believe that it's possible for them to cause real consequences for the military or anyone else, and they view existence as a zero-sum political game which they win by destroying things that code as liberal.

“The MAGA crowd is made of dumb people — like, SUPER dumb people. And they fall for it.”

For my @wired.com feature debut, I talked to Sam, a guy who made thousands of dollars on Instagram by scamming MAGA men with Emily Hart, an AI generated, Trump-loving influencer. www.wired.com/story/ai-gen...

Calling an entire culture (whatever that is) “regressive” and “dysfunctional” is literally like the last step on the way to genocidal ideation.

I'm not joking when I say mRNA technology is more important than "AI" and it's a tragedy we're throwing billions into one while our government is aggressively defunding the other.

Only the New York Times, run by a fourth-generation nepo baby for an imagined audience of other elites with Roman numerals after their names, could treat such a small-bore common-sense tax proposal as the peak sign of a class war.

If this is the peak of the "anti-rich current," they'll be lucky.

Learn whatever you want about "law," it doesn't matter because GOP Justices blew up the entire process of deciding cases based on chats with rich friends and stuff they watched on TV. That was the entire basis on which SCOTUS switched to the shadow docket.

It's still neat, but I have a hair-trigger temper when it comes to the accusation that I have falsified sources.

Also, the Newberry digitized the program. The dingbats who are sure that I have created this stupid oatmeal ad air out of thin air because the image is so clean can thank the library.

I have no problem with people questioning images. I do it all the time. But if someone tells a historian they have forged a source, they are attacking the core of the historian's integrity.

If you look me up, you would have to ask why I would risk my reputation just for a stupid ad. I DMd the first person to ask about the source, then got busy with other things. I hope this is enough evidence for everyone.

A gargantuan, nightmare of a tornado hit Easton, Illinois tonight in the pitch black darkness. Only with the lightning and a few power flashes can make out the shape of this beast...

May everyone across the midwest remain safe tonight, it's been one hell of a day.
