Sometimes I encounter people who are just as committed to misunderstanding as flat-earthers. It’s so painful to let them think they’ve ‘won’, but what else can you do?!

That’s a cool house! I’ve noticed it before walking by and always liked the greenhouse. I never imagined the interiors were that cool though!

BC parkway traces the perimeter of #ConnaughtHeights following the route of the Skytrain Expo line and extending from Commercial Drive to King George. It’s a peaceful place to walk, bike or run. #NewWest

Yes, they didn’t want the Universities to be accessible to the working class and put them as far from East Van as possible

In ‘Strange Brew’ when he and his brother have to separate (for the first time in their lives) to complete their mission. His face is so vulnerable and emotive!

Drooping cedar tree creates dramatic arch at the entrance stair to the property. A modern bungalow with a rounded corner is framed beyond. To the top right corner you can spot a tree pruned to look like a tree from The Lorax.

A very well maintained art deco bungalow with a flat roof, rounded corners, and chrome trims. If you zoom in you can see a tree near the entrance is pruned into a tight coil. In the foreground there is a cheap wood fence that doesn’t belong. What is the story behind the fence???

I’m inspired this morning to start a photo thread about #ConnaughtHeights. The neighbourhood so unassuming that even #NewWest fanatics forget about it.

The first images are my favourite house and garden. It’s hard to pick the best view because the property is Art.

From an architectural perspective, I really like this image because this space has qualities of being both indoors and outdoors at the same time. Ambiguity can be enticing. In Vancouver it seems that businesses are either fully inside or thrust onto arterial roads.

Looks fun! I’ll be in Whistler that day, otherwise I would join.

Every time I scroll past the clip with Carney talking about Canada investing in AI to make my job more interesting, I think to myself that it would be a good time to donate to the federal NDP.

I’ve embraced my grandmother’s maxim ‘It’s in God’s hands’, even though I quit church ages ago. Remembering that I have absolutely no control over most things, and consciously deciding to embrace my tiny circle of influence, has done a lot of good for my mental and emotional wellbeing.

They’re probably thinking the Canadian army can swoop in and kidnap Trump and murder him, after all, their government does stuff like that. What could possibly go wrong?!

They have no understanding of what it means to be a “middle power”. Can Canada impose economic sanctions on the US? Close our borders? etc, etc??

Yes, the world should, and probably will do something. But it will not look like Team America World Police. It will be more subtle, because of necessity

I love the little van and would totally buy one if I could. It’s weird that some people in the comments seem really bothered.
