First gig of the year, 2026 off to a slow start, Kim Gordon at Shepherd’s Bush Empire was really good, quite noisy and I didn’t know any of the songs.

Coachella is such a great looking festival, big widescreen stage. YouTube coverage is also great, they know when to stand back, when to get involved. Everything looks like a live music video. Even Nine Inch Noise bring a “pop” production with dancers, set, etc… youtu.be/Vm6k0geoynQ?...
Definitely, things don’t start to come together until the intro of the show’s main location in ep4. Their one big error was not having a feature length pilot to set everything out. And at least 4 of the best characters aren’t even in season one.
Everyday’s Far-Right scum day.
Love that movie, pretty sure I first heard of it due to a glowing review in Shock Xpress. I’ve got it on Blu ray, as part of that Vestron reissues collection from a few years back.
Einsturzende Neubauten currently live streaming a free in studio concert to introduce the new lineup and to celebrate 46 years of being totally awesome! www.youtube.com/live/wBW-XtH...
I’ve been on a waiting list for over 4 years, my life is total shit.
Not a film but this was the first thing that sprang to mind… youtube.com/shorts/pE4yq...
Love this movie, took me about 20 years to track down a copy. Worth it.
I watched this the other night too. Went quickly from “how nice, all the characters are scientists” to “all these scientists are psychos!”

Very sad, lead chicken died of Parkinson’s and was penniless. Must check them out.
Mick Ronson Rainbow Concert 1974- AMAZING, someone has done an incredible job of reconstructing this once lost concert, soundtrack is mostly studio, but the offstage stuff is priceless, lots of Bowie people (Garson, Boulder, Gillespie) and Glam kids two years off being Punks youtu.be/XRqmwGF9RXk?...
To be fair, the first song is Crash which, lyrically, is hardly driving music.
Grammar coke.
Today in Surprise Finds on Free Streaming Services: The Fall - Perverted by Language // bis on Tubi. While I love a good remaster/restoration, this untampered gem feels exactly the same as watching the IKON (Factory records) VHS back in those 80’s.
Mortis Dancers.
I remember seeing that for the first time and just knowing what was coming as soon as the track started.
LOVE Blood Spattered Bride, my gateway drug for Euro horror back in the Betamax days. I remember reading a review and thinking “that makes no sense: I have to check that out”. Bought a German Blu Ray a few years back, still great. Also best trailer ever for the double bill youtu.be/qncIm42ciUU?...
I saw it twice at the cinema.

What if math rockers DIDN’T dress like math teachers? Love ‘em.
Both I Start Counting and The Offence deal with child abuse and murder. I guess there’s something about the look of Bracknell that screams that to film-makers.
Both I Start Counting and The Offence have leads living in flats in the 17 storey Point Royal. I first saw ISC tripping in a flat in that building, the opening shot is literally the view from the living room we were in. We all thought our brains had broken. A lot of “Is anyone else seeing this?”
It’s Bracknell, near where I grew up. I Start Counting and The Offence were also shot there.
Tough sport, it’s very hard on skiers.
