I’m aiming to start my next marathon training block at 160 pounds and ideally keep my weight gain to no more than 5 pounds throughout the build.
I need to learn how to ride a geared bike, I’ve only been able to ride fixed gear. 🙄😒
I requested deferment for my Chicago Marathon Race under the belief that because I have a baby due on the day of the race, they’d rock with me.
Nope 🤦🏾♂️
Thanks for nothing @chicagomarathon.bsky.social
A couple more weeks and i’m done with my first project! 🙏🏿
I’ve been telling young planners for years: never let on how good you are at GIS unless you’re ready to become the team’s go-to GIS person. And now, here I am—officially the designated GIS guy on my team. The irony is not lost on me.
There should be a federal law that requires sidewalks and cross walks within a 3 mile radius of all schools. No reason I should be watching kids dodge cars trying to cross a major collector road.
Kickstarting the day with a 5K! Planners from around the world hit the pavement in beautiful downtown Denver at #NPC25 for a morning run full of great views, fresh air, and even better company. #MorningMiles
Registration for YIMBYTown 2025 is open. I've been to many conferences related to cities/housing, and this one is my favorite—engaging sessions (i.e. not all talks/panels), walks and bicycle rides, happy hours, etc. If you're at all interested in pro-housing advocacy, you must attend! yimby.town
My biggest concern with people who take that position is their misunderstanding of how local governments function and secure funding. And when presented with information that could help fill that void, it’s often met with significant skepticism.
I understand leftists advocates, specifically minorities, who err on the side of caution when exploring the introduction of new units into their areas. But caution should never lead to stagnation. It harms us in the long run.
Design is very important in the context of infill development. But moreso, to me, is the value add that the number of units provide to the neighborhood’s overall affordability. Cities should continually check to ensure there maintains a healthy balance between the two.

"As of March 5, 952 federal employees have filed unemployment claims with Washington’s Employment Security Department this year — about double the number of claims from the same time period last year, which saw 472 claims." www.opb.org/article/2025...
Siri, how can you further crush commercial development?
Also, how in the hell will the federal government attract the best talent? After these public attacks on public servants, why would elite candidates with choices start a career with the feds when they’d run the risk of being fired after 4 years?
We need to eliminate regulatory barriers and make tweaks to those systems at all levels. But that doesn’t seem to be the “efficiency” conservatives have in mind right now.
Going forward, how can any political party build bipartisan support to pass a budget bill if the other side can’t rely on the president to not cut the parts they don’t like? SCOTUS has to reel these people in.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Zelenskyy left White House without signing US-Ukraine critical minerals deal Trump had demanded.
Two people disrespected the United States in the Oval Office today: President Trump and Vice President Vance.
One person spoke in the best of American tradition: President Zelensky.

“The unknown was not as scary as being complicit and not speaking up.” Some federal employees, both in public and behind closed doors, are resisting Elon Musk’s orders using whatever means they have. nyti.ms/3D4V7T2

Long-range planners, do you consider capitalization rates (cap rates) when developing corridor reinvestment strategies? If so, how do they influence your decision-making process regarding property valuations, investment viability, and prioritization of redevelopment efforts?
