This is 100% true in the legal field and is why it is critical that we reverse course and make room in the curriculum for robust legal research education. You can’t check for errors if you don’t have good legal information literacy skills.

This may have significant consequences for U.S. copyright policy, as the Librarian supervises the Register of Copyrights. I would pay attention to any maneuvering in the Copyright Office, particularly given its relatively cool attitude toward AI copyrightability and training fair use.
