#batappreciationday – VWT supports bats using evidence-based conservation to create a variety of roosts for bats with safe places to raise young, hibernate and help to connect isolated populations. A network of existing and new roosts is vital for supporting bats. Find out more at vwt.org.uk

Pine marten or stoat?🐾They can look similar, especially if you only capture a fleeting glimpse, or haven't seen them before!
We collect pine marten sightings data to monitor their recovering distribution.
Submit a pine marten sighting: arcg.is/L1fG0 to put your marten on our Marten Map!

We had a fab day at one of our bat reserves in Wales, which is home to around 500 lesser horseshoe bats. With the help of our fantastic #volunteers, we carried out maintenance tasks, pruned fruit trees and planted 24 new trees to provide more cover and bring in insects for the bats to feed on!
