Tomatoes are fine in stainless steel, it's aluminium that you need to avoid with anything acidic. ProCook are excellent value, highly recommend their cookware (I'm very fussy and cook a lot)

This is very gratifying for me... there's been a 30 year running joke in my family about how I once said that pigeon milk exists, and now I can share this with them!

The lifts at Bristol Parkway have *all* been closed for repairs since mid-January (not due to re-open until Easter). This is on top of lots of intermittent issues /closures in the past few years - they've often been out of order for weeks at a time, with no alternatives provided

Have you seen BBC Wales's "snooker player afraid of teabags" story? This is the sort of investigative journalism we, ummm, deserve?

Only very occasionally - and on specific subjects. It used to happen when I thought /spoke about geography, because I studied it in Welsh to GSCE. It happened again recently but I can't remember the context...

I'm bilingual, but I only think in Welsh when reading / listening to / speaking/ writing Cymraeg. English is by far my 'dominant' language, but it was/ is my home language.

A publication I co-wrote was very nearly attributed to the ORCID of a law scholar in Northumbria who shares my name.... But my favourite same-namer is the one in New York whose yacht catalogues and fancy cake invoices come to my inbox...

It's made me nostalgic for early 00s St Matts / Fishponds! S Glos has just submitted their local development plan, but not sure whether student accommodation features. There are new (huge) private halls being built near UWE at present...
