Twitter, Facebook, Tik Tok…all owned by fascists 🤷🏼♂️
The other thing this tactic does is it forces businesses and entire sectors to be reliant on him. They align with him or “bend the knee” so to speak and he lifts the sanctions and looks like a hero. It’s economic sabotage as leverage—manufactured chaos with a price tag and a PR spin.
It's not a trade war. It's one man acting like a dick

Some good news!
Yesss!!!
going to start calling myself a centrist and then listing all my leftist views as proof, just going to start moving the overton window by force
Give me it!
🙌🏼 I’m not sure who had the amazing idea to invite this constitutional lawyer to a senate hearing that intended to prove Biden colluded with Meta to censor conservatives, but she took the opportunity to speak truth to power ✊🏼 on the hypocrite 👑 KING OF FREE SPEECH, Donald Trump, himself. 👏🏼 Brava!!
I am grateful for your voice and Mary Anne Frank’s in this fight. Getting us all talking about it boldly is helpful.
So yes, de-escalation where possible—but paired with a broader strategy that recognizes when we’re already under attack. It’s not either/or. We need a collective plan that’s smart, moral, and unapologetically bold.
I hope I’m wrong. But historically, sadism like Hitler’s wasn’t stopped by restraint. His atrocities began long before most people even knew what was happening. And as unsavory as it is, it ultimately took war to stop him.
We don’t need more violence—we need more imagination. Something smarter, more inclusive, and better coordinated has to be brought to this fight. Perhaps that was not the best analogy, but there are literal Nazis with ARs walking around. I’m not sure they can be reasoned with.
I totally agree that de-escalation and lawful tools are powerful, and necessary. But I also think we need to admit the current strategies aren’t working fast enough. We’re getting steamrolled while trying to play by rules the other side is actively shredding.
A true “radical left” would already have the means of production in the hands of workers, returning profits of labor back to them—and that’s likely why they demonize the left so aggressively: because real leftist policy threatens the power structures that keep wealth concentrated at the top.
Indeed. Calling people that are mostly center or barely left of center the radical left is laughable.
Dems could barely hold off the old guard of the right wing, and now this iteration just steamrolls over them with the exact tactics you are describing. There needs to be a new approach. You can’t bring a pillow to a gunfight.
💯,and it’s not a new thing for them. It has, over time, seemingly reduced down to some concentrated form that we see as MAGA. They aren’t even traditional Republicans anymore.
