I just don't understand how lowering farmworkers wages solved anything. Idk, that's just me though I guess.

As fundraising reports come out, remember that money isn't everything- Especially not in this cycle.
Colorado can't possibly think it's okay to change Cesar Chavez Day to FarmWorkers Day while *at the same time* considering increasing the hour requirement for OT from 48hrs to 60hrs.
Please email your legislator and tell them to vote NO

I asked someone what standing up to the federal government looked like to them. They got upset and told me I was the politician, I should know.
She wasn't angry at me. She was angry because she was taught voting was enough- It's not. We must stay involved and defend our communities beyond voting.
At assembly a few weeks ago someone asked me "why people (Congress) are letting this happen"
It's because the American aristocracy (the Jeffries and Schumers) will continue to benefit from a system that oppresses the people who vote for them. They simply do not care- Their gravy train doesn't stop.
SB26-087 advanced last week which would allow legislators to take LOAs while in session. As someone who works full time and will continue to after being elected, it's great to see this bill be supported in order to make it more accessible for real people to enter politics, not just rich people.
Families shouldn't have to compete with corporations to buy a home. If we want to get serious about addressing the largest wealth and income gap in American history, then it's time we start having serious conversations about banning corporations from buying single family homes in Colorado.
Y'all, I'm tired of learning the same lesson: When institutions bend to fascists, the pressure does not stop fascists — it emboldens them. Even if Tina Peters’ convictions still stand, it should alarm everyone that changing her sentence is even being entertained.
I want to thank community for bringing this to my attention.
Talk about the pot calling the kettle black!!

Happy Veterans Day to all of the underserved, struggling, and homeless veterans that Republicans continually scapegoat to kill policies that will aim to help anyone.
We did get a mailer promoting state Sen. Mulica and Rep. Jacque Phillips as "making Thornton more affordable" and encouraging people to "join thousands of Colorado working- & middle-class families."
Working people would love to sit down with One Main Street's funders. Who are they?

Colorado Common Cause alleges more than a dozen Democratic lawmakers violated the state's prohibition on gift-giving when they asked a prominent dark-money organization to help pay for an October mountain retreat // Story by @sethklamann.bsky.social
The last thing we should be doing is giving ANY kinds of kudos or flowers to Reagan. Full stop.
Exactly one year ago, we pushed for change. We pushed for Truth and now Thornton is one of the few cities in Colorado to have a land acknowledgement.

Thornton High School was my home away from home. I had plenty of friends and plenty of nots- But I couldn't imagine going to school fearing for my life the way our students do now.
We. Must. Do. Something. Now.
Sending love to our Evergreen students.
The highest court in the US just authorized the fascist regime in DC to racially profile people. We as a people must unilaterally condemn and fight this at the municipal, state, and federal level.
If you're not willing fight for your community, you shouldn't be representing it.

3-Day Weekend? Thank a Union! Happy Labor Day!
This is quite literally textbook fascism. It truly cannot get more plain than this.

Glad to see about ever seat filled on the 6:10am E-Line today. When we invest in our transit, it becomes a reliable option for folks.
I will continue to wholeheartedly support mass transit accessibility because when it's better for riders, it's better for everyone else, too.
We should be unilaterally calling for the resignation of all Republican "leadership" involved with the harassment of Rep. Zokaie. It's embarrassing, it's pathetic.
They say "endorsements don't matter," but when people who have held this seat want you to win, it can't be much clearer than that. Honored to have Joe Salazar's support. @cochicanojoe.bsky.social
