From neighbourhood gurdwaras to vibrant parades, Sikhs in BC and around the world will come together to celebrate Vaisakhi. Celebrations often include prayer, scripture readings, and community parades known as Nagar Kirtans. Happy Vaisakhi!

Vaisakhi marks the founding of the Khalsa in 1699 – and remains one of the most sacred and joyous days in the Sikh calendar.

I rose in the BC Legislature last Thursday with profound sadness to honour the life of Mrs. Ram Labhai Sarpal, a cherished and respected member of our community who passed away on March 24 at the age of 82.
