Very good read even if it was rather... calm for a horror story. Especially a great contrast after I read "The Deep" by Nick Cutter earlier this year, ofc not the same but similar themes. Definitely enjoyed this one a whole lot more.
The rot brain that has developed with folks over the last decade (its always been around but BOY it's picked up) where people treat fictional characters like they're real people who can be harmed or wronged and are more important than the actual real people who write them is so exhausting
E-reader with a black and white book cover of "Our Wives Under the Sea" by Julia Armfield. The cover shows a woman's face blurred by water.
After that disappointing read of "Sturmvögel", it's back to the good ol' queer horror stuff.

I think it's funny that people who believe gender is fake also believe in beta males and alpha males. Like that's two genders right there and we haven't even gotten to women

Book cover with a modern-ish ship in a rough ocean. The book is called "Sturmvögel" ("storm birds") by Einar Kárson.
Book 46 this year. I'm so happy that I discovered my love of reading again.
